Terms of Service

Draft. This text is a placeholder written to describe how the service actually works. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and is not a binding agreement yet.
Envoy is trip-management software for freight forwarders. These terms describe what we provide, what we ask of you, and what happens when either side stops.
The service
Envoy stores and organises the trips, partners and documents your team enters. We host it, keep it running and back it up. We do not move freight, sign contracts on your behalf, or guarantee any commercial outcome of a trip recorded here.
Accounts and teams
One account belongs to one person and to one team. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including what people you invite do with the access you give them. A team owner can remove any member at any time; signing in on a new device signs the previous one out.
Acceptable use
Do not use Envoy to store data you have no right to hold, to attack the service or the people using it, or to work around the limits of the plan you are on. We may suspend an account that does, and will tell you why.
Your data
What you enter stays yours. We process it to run the service and for nothing else — we do not sell it, and we do not use it to train anything. Sensitive fields are encrypted per team. See the Privacy Policy for the detail.
Plans and billing
Paid plans are invoiced in advance and settled by bank transfer against a proforma we issue. Downgrading keeps your data and makes it read-only above the new plan limits rather than deleting anything. Cancelling stops the next invoice; we do not refund a period already used.
Liability
The service is provided as it is. We are not liable for commercial losses arising from a trip, a document, or a decision made using Envoy. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
We will update these terms as the product changes, and will say so on this page with a new review date. Continuing to use Envoy after a change means accepting it.
