The driver will not install your app
Every tracking feature in this industry begins by asking a driver to do something they have no reason to do.
Driver-facing apps fail for a reason that has nothing to do with software quality. The driver does not work for you. They work for the carrier, they are paid by the load, and an app that benefits your visibility is pure cost to their day: an install, an account, a password, a training call, a phone that is already full.
What a link costs instead
A link costs one tap. It opens a page, the page asks for location once, and the driver is done. There is no account because there is nothing to protect that a single-use token does not already protect, and there is no install because a browser is already there.
The trade is real: you get position when the driver opens the link, not a continuous feed from a telematics box. For a broker who currently finds out where the truck is by calling and asking, that is not a downgrade.
